Calling all bike riders! It’s time to take advantage of the warmer weather and get out to enjoy Spring.

We will have to do so now by wearing masks while we gather and ride, but we can do that and still follow the guidelines for safe social distancing.

We'll ride along a mostly flat 5 mile stretch along the Perkiomen Creek and Schuylkill into Phoenixville. Then we’ll return to the Lower Perkiomen Park by the same route we rode out on.

Our favorite Vecchia pizzeria in Phoenixville is open for takeout, but riders can also bring some food for a picnic lunch somewhere along the way.

There is one section of this trail that has crushed gravel on packed earth, but to avoid that riders with road bike that have skinny tires can ride on a little used road.

The ride leaves from the Lower Perkiomen Park at 11:00 am. Note that the park is off the 422 exit from Egypt Road.

To get into the Lower Perkiomen Park turn off of Egypt Road, on the east side of the Creek, onto New Mill Road. Stay on New Mill road for about 0.8 of a mile and turn left into the parking lot at the end of the road. Phyllis will be in the parking lot slightly before 10:45. We expect the ride to start at 11:00. Tires pumped up?
